Venus de Milo
sculpture, fragments of marble, desktop monitor, speakers and structural steel mesh, 230x95x95cm, 2016-2018.

Venus de Milo, the first chronologically of all the other pieces, was also my first attempt to create an artwork that also consists of sound. Taking the official picture of Venus de Milo from Wikipedia, I “translated” the picture into sound.
This “translation” creates “Fragments” both optical and audible.
This is a process, which dissolves the materials to reconstitute them in another code, in another “language”. A “sonic language” that allows the receiver a different “reading” of the object.
